My name is David Lewis, and I have dedicated more than 41 years to serving the people of Kitsap County through the Clerk’s Office. I was appointed Kitsap County Clerk in 2021 and was honored to be elected by the voters in 2022. Throughout my career, I have served as a Deputy County Clerk, Domestic Violence Specialist, and now County Clerk, gaining extensive experience in court operations, records management, and public service.

As Clerk, I have focused on modernizing the office through technology improvements such as e-filing, making it easier for citizens, attorneys, and self-represented litigants to access court services. I believe government should be efficient, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the people it serves.

Beyond my professional responsibilities, I am proud to serve as President of the Washington Association of County Clerks, Board President of Kitsap Legal Services, and a board member of Coffee Oasis. I also volunteer my time supporting local youth and adult athletics because I believe strong communities are built through service and involvement.

I am a graduate of Bremerton High School, attended Olympic College, and completed the Professional Development Academy. As a lifelong Kitsap County resident, I remain committed to serving our community with integrity, experience, and dedication.
